The release of the 2015 Federal Budget this week confirmed the launch of the Australian Apprenticeships Support Network from July 1. This network will match apprentices to a trade and employer, and support them throughout their apprenticeship so that they complete their training and enter the workforce.

The Australian Government has launched a special hotline for vocational education and training students and employers to lodge complaints or raise concerns about the training system.

The apprentice payment of Support for Adult Australian Apprentices will be removed from July 1, 2015, under the Federal Government’s Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook. Payments due before that date will continue to be honoured.
