Environmental commitment

Australian Business Limited Apprenticeships Centre is dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and complies by a best practice standard in corporate sustainability set by the NSW Business Chamber. 

As a result of this commitment we:

• Are officially recognised as a Sustainability Advantage 2008 member
• Reduced carbon emissions by changing the type of cars staff use and we offset the carbon emissions through the Greenfleet program
• Follow a co-mingled recycling system
• Reduce corporate travel
• Actively look at ways to reduce energy and water consumption
• Follow a procurement strategy that includes purchasing sustainable products and Australian made products
• Encourage double siding of paper copying and general reduction of paper usage
• Are an active participant of Earth Hour
• Installed sensor lighting which automatically switches off lights when there is no activity in the area
• Replaced disposable cups with reusable mugs given to staff. This makes a significant contribution to minimising waste and reducing consumables
• Recycle computers, printers and monitors at end of life.
